(See instructions below) Hosted by Laurie Clark - Early Childhood Tom Clark - Art Johanna Laurelin - Eurythmy @ the High School of Waldorf School of San Diego. Renewing the Essence of Waldorf Early Childhood Education Deepening the understanding of the young child and enlivening the forces of the teacher. Although the children have been resilient through a very challenging year with the pandemic, the toll it has taken on their sense of well-being is apparent. This is bringing the teachers many interesting questions to contemplate that require them to invigorate their inner mobility and orientation in order to meet the needs of the children. Laurie Clark will explore how to enliven the birthday celebrations, delve into child contemplation that includes health and nutrition, the meaning of children’s drawings, and integrative movements that revitalize the child’s sensory system. Tom Clark will work with the participants to draw simple and beautiful birthday drawings for a card or birthday book and ways to form beeswax into figures while telling a nature story. Painting will also be experienced that will rejuvenate the life forces of the teachers. Johanna Laurelin An experienced Eurythmy teacher in Waldorf schools and Eurythmy schools and co-director in the San Diego Waldorf Institute of Southern California (WISC) program.
