(See instructions below) Hosted by Dr. Shivani Burrows-Goodwill - Grade 4 Chelaine Kokos - Eurythmy. @ the High School of Waldorf School of San Diego. Dr. Shivani Burrows-Goodwill Waldorf-trained Teacher in Grades and Early Childhood (EC) and co-director at Waldorf Institute of Southern California (WISC). She spent 30 years teaching both areas before taking up the work of pedagogical administration, and teacher mentoring. Two years ago, suddenly, she felt the call to return to the classroom. Shivani is an instructor of Grade 2 at Sparrow Academy Waldorf Charter School in San Diego. Particularly, this Sparrow has been founded and staffed by teacher graduates from WISC from the San Diego Program, sharing her passion and creativity with a class of 28 students. Dr. Shivani brings a depth of anthroposophy combined with years of practical approaches to classroom work, and a strong foundation in literacy (her doctoral research) and mathematics. Her love of music and art permeates all she does. "I feel blessed to be able to work with the young people who are our future". Ms. Chelaine Kokos Waldorf-trained Teacher at the Waldorf School of San Diego (WSSD). She Bachelor of Science in Outdoor Education, Outdoor Recreation, and Land Management, with an emphasis in Youth Programming from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She received her Eurythmy diploma from Sound Circle Eurythmy. She also completed her Waldorf Teacher Training with WISC, San Diego. She has performed in the United States, Mexico, and Europe. Ms. Kokos enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors. Ms. Kokos joined WSSD in 2016. "The adventure of Grade 4: Dr. Shivani Burrows-Goodwill The fourth grader has an adventurous spirit, is full of curiosity, and eager to explore new capacities for learning and creativity. We will experience together the drama of hero mythologies, along with eurythmy and Celtic knot form drawing. New subjects, geography and zoology, invite new relationships: to the land and culture of the world around us; and to world of living creatures. Speech, a powerful medium for this age to express their new sense of self, will permeate the week, along with music - singing, and recorder playing, and art.
